Tasks
Create, assign, and track follow-ups across your team with list, table, and board views.
Overview
Tasks are the to-dos that keep deals moving — the call to make, the proposal to send, the site visit to schedule. Every task carries a status, a priority, an optional due date, and can be linked to the contact, company, or deal it relates to. You can work through them on the dedicated Tasks page or right inside a record's detail view.
Open Tasks from Tasks in the left sidebar. The page header shows your live counts: To Do, In Progress, and Done, plus Overdue and Due Today badges when you have any.

Views
The Tasks page offers three ways to look at the same set of tasks. Switch between them with the view toggle in the top-right.
List
The default view, grouped by when work is due so the most urgent items rise to the top. Tasks fall into these buckets:
- Overdue — past their due date and not yet done
- Today
- Tomorrow
- Upcoming — due later than tomorrow
- No Due Date
Each row has a checkbox to complete the task, the title, its priority and label, the due date, and the linked deal if there is one. Hover a row to reveal edit and delete actions.
Table
A dense, sortable grid with a column for status, priority, label, due date, deal, and the created/updated timestamps. The table supports bulk selection — tick the checkboxes (or the header checkbox to select the page) to act on many tasks at once. See Bulk actions.

A kanban board with a column per status — To Do, In Progress, Done, and Canceled when completed tasks are shown. Drag a card from one column to another to change its status; dropping a card in Done marks it complete.

Assigning tasks
The Assigned To dropdown lists the members of your organization. Assigning a task makes it easy to filter the Tasks page down to one person's workload — pick a member under Filters → Assigned To. Leave it as Unassigned if no one owns the task yet.

Quick add
In List view, a quick-add bar sits above the list. Type a title, press Enter, and a task is created with default status and priority — handy for capturing a to-do without opening the full form. Open the task afterward to fill in a due date, assignee, or links.

Completing and editing
- Complete a task by ticking its checkbox in the list or table, or by dragging its card to Done on the board. Tick again to reopen it.
- Edit a task by clicking it (or the edit action on hover) to reopen the form, where you can change any field, including reassigning it or changing what it's linked to.
- Delete a task with the delete action. Deleting is permanent — tasks are not kept in Trash.
Filters and search
Use the search box to match against task titles. Alongside it are quick filters for priority and label, and a Show completed toggle (off by default, so finished and canceled tasks stay out of the way).
Click Filters to expand the advanced panel:
- Status — To Do, In Progress, Done, or Canceled
- Assigned To — narrow to one team member's tasks
- Due Date — a from/to date range
- Deal — show only tasks linked to a specific deal
- Pipeline — show only tasks whose linked deal is in a specific pipeline (appears when your organization has more than one pipeline)
A dot on the Filters button indicates active filters; Clear resets them.

The bar shows how many tasks are selected and clears when you're done.

Tasks on records
Tasks also live on the records they relate to. Open any contact, company, or deal and select the Tasks tab to see that record's tasks, split into To Do and Completed. Creating a task from a record's tab pre-links it to that record, so you don't have to set the association by hand.
Tasks and the AI assistant
The AI assistant can work with tasks directly. You can ask it to:
- Find tasks — "What's overdue?" or "Show me Priya's open tasks"
- Create a task — "Add a follow-up call for the State St deal due Friday and assign it to Marcus"
- Update a task — "Mark the proposal task done" or "Reassign the site visit to Cheryl"
When you name a person, the assistant resolves them to the right team member, so you can assign and reassign by name. Creating and updating tasks require your approval before the assistant commits the change.
Importing and exporting
- Data Import can load tasks from a CSV — useful when migrating from another tool.
- Data Export includes open and completed tasks in the full export bundle.
