Pipeline

Track deals through your sales pipeline with Kanban and table views.

Overview

The pipeline is where you track active sales opportunities from first contact through close. Aggrandize gives you two ways to view your deals: a visual Kanban board and a detailed table.

Kanban view

The default view shows deals as cards organized in columns by stage. Drag and drop deals between stages as they progress. Each column header shows a deal count and the total dollar value sitting in that stage.

Each deal card shows:

  • Deal name
  • Primary contact
  • Dollar value
  • Priority (Low, Medium, High)
  • Expected close date

Active vs. All

By default the board shows Active deals — deals in an open stage. Every closed-type stage — any stage whose type is Won or Lost, whatever it's named — is hidden so day-to-day work stays focused on what's still in play. For most pipelines that means the Closed Won and Closed Lost columns, but it applies just the same to a closed stage with a custom name (a Declined stage, say). A hidden stage still works normally — it saves, and deals can be moved into it — it just doesn't render in the Active view, and a deal moved into it leaves the Active board with it. Flip the Active / All toggle in the top-right to bring the closed columns back into view. Your choice sticks per organization, so the page opens the way you left it.

The metrics bar

A metrics bar at the top of the page shows Total Value, Closed Won, and Avg Deal Size. All three follow any filters you apply. Total Value and Avg Deal Size also follow the Active/All toggle, while Closed Won ignores the toggle — it keeps showing your won total even when won deals are hidden from the board, so the KPI never reads $0 in the Active view.

Sort by any column and use filters to focus on specific segments of your pipeline. Filters can be added one at a time as chips, combined with AND/OR logic in the advanced filter builder, and saved as reusable view tabs — see Saved Views & Filters.

Pipeline stages

Deals move through stages that represent your sales process:

ProspectingQualificationProposalNegotiationClosed Won or Closed Lost

Your organization can customize these stages to match your workflow.

Creating deals

Project start and finish dates are optional, but setting them places the deal on the Timeline — a Gantt view of your whole portfolio scheduled across the months ahead.

Manual entry

  1. Click Create deal in the top-right
  2. Enter the deal name (required), value, priority, and pick a pipeline + stage (both required)
  3. Optionally set a close date, project start and finish dates, description, and location
  4. Click Create Deal

Editing a deal uses the same form pre-filled with the deal's current values (MockDealFormModal mode="edit").

Deal details

Click any deal to see its full profile:

  • Header — name, stage badge (color-coded to the pipeline), priority, amount, close date
  • Deal Details — amount, priority, stage, close date, project start/finish dates, location
  • Description — free-text notes about the deal
  • Activity tabs — Activity log, Email threads, Tasks
  • Contacts — people involved, each with a role (Architect of Record, Project Manager, Decision Maker, etc.)
  • Companies — organizations involved in the deal

Deals are most useful when they're well-connected. Link contacts with their roles, associate companies, and attach email threads. These relationships form the relational graph that powers the AI assistant — the more connected your deals are, the more the assistant can help.

Bulk actions

Tick the checkbox on multiple deals (table view) to enter selection mode. A bulk action bar appears with inline selects for Priority, Owner, and Pipeline (the latter only shows when you have more than one pipeline), plus a destructive Delete.

To move deals between stages, drag them across columns in Kanban view or use the per-deal Stage field on the detail page — stages are not part of the bulk action bar.

Filter deals by:

  • Deal name
  • Stage
  • Priority
  • Value range
  • Linked contact or company
  • Location (city or state)
  • Owner
  • Any custom fields defined on the active pipeline (e.g. Delivery System, Confidence)

Add filters one at a time as chips with the + Filter button, or combine conditions with AND/OR logic in the Filter builder — the filter toolbar is available in both the table and Kanban views, and any combination can be saved as a reusable view tab. See Saved Views & Filters for the full story.

Filters apply to the whole page: the board, the per-column totals, and the metrics bar all narrow to the matching deals — a column with no matching deals stays visible but empty.

A No open tasks filter surfaces deals that have nothing scheduled against them — a quick way to find opportunities that may be stalling. To put your deals on a Gantt chart by their project dates, see the Timeline.

If your org has defined custom fields on a pipeline, those fields also show up on the deal form and detail page, and can be added as columns from the Columns menu on the deals table.
